The Services We Offer
Hope Homes provides fully furnished transitional homes or apartments for recently recovering men and women with chemical addictions or mental or eating disorders.
We are not a treatment center. In many cases, Hope Homes takes over after this initial period of recovery. Many individuals have completed intensive treatment programs but do not yet feel equipped for independent living. Our primary service is to facilitate continued abstinence from drugs and alcohol. In addition, we offer appropriate services for certain mental conditions and eating disorders.

- Job proficiencies
- Fitness and nutrition classes
- Fellowship activities
- Young adult development
- Parent or family support
In addition, an on-call staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Individual progress reports are provided to families or residents, and to referral sources upon request.
Resident Profile
It is important to understand that there is no “typical” resident. Our communities welcome individuals from all walks of life, all races and all religions.
The common denominator—and the most important factor—is that a person must demonstrate a strong desire for long-term recovery. To foster this commitment, each resident is treated and cared for as a special person with unique needs.
Admission guidelines at Hope Homes are as follows:
- Men and women must be 18 years or older.
- Residents must be recovering and stabilized from a chemical dependency, an emotional or mood disorder, or a serious eating problem.
- Individuals must have a desire for their own healing within a community environment.
The emphasis at Hope Homes is on healing. However, residents are expected to participate in a recovery job, volunteer work or schooling of some type. All Hope Homes' residences are on, or readily accessible to, public transportation.
Staff personnel support and assist residents in gaining an appropriate
recovery job if the person is not already working. Clients
who are disabled or unable to work must be involved in appropriate
activities during the day. These may include educational
or vocational training or volunteer assignments.
Requirements of the Residents
Even though male and female communities are separated, the recovery programs are similar - as are the requirements of residents.
- Residents must be 18 years or older.
- A six-month minimum stay is required; a nine to 12-month commitment is encouraged.

The Structured Program that Works
Structure and Rules: All residents are expected to be productive during the day, which means you maintain a job, perform volunteer work or attend school.
Free Time: Many support and fellowship groups are offered during the week: Life Skills; job training; young adult, parent support; eating disorders; Big Book study; Fun Night; and an annual retreat.
Time Flies
The first three months are a period of adjustment and discovery. You’ll meet new friends, realize the satisfaction in simple pleasures and, almost always, begin to have confidence in yourself again.
During the second quarter, there is a marked difference in outlook, determination and hope for the future. After six months, many residents request more time in the community. Perhaps there is a difficult situation at home, or you may require additional skills and added confidence before living independently*.
*Independent Living (residents eligible after 9 months) is a true roommate situation supervised by staff.
Hope Homes provides options for long term recovery.
Whatever the choice, there is a new vitality during and after experiencing life at Hope Homes.
